Fair Value & Goodwill Impairment Testing
Andrew Fargason has been selected to participate in The Appraisal Foundation Working Group to develop best practices.  Topic: Best Practices for Measurement and Application of a Control Premium in Determining the Fair Value of a Reporting Unit for Goodwill Impairment Testing Pursuant to SFAS 142.

The Appraisal Foundation is an organization authorized by Congress as the source of appraisal standards and appraiser qualification.  The newly formed working group will meet in August to kick off discussions aimed at producing a white paper on best practices for control premium analysis in a US GAAP setting.
